Hideous sounds Hideous sounds Try to pierce through my chest And into my heart Hideous sounds Hideous sounds Try to break through my skull And reverb in my brain Try to get an angle to shout Try to get an angle to shout To shout in my ear Vibrate in my skull And reverb in my brain Seven days to get ready Seven days to be left alone Seven ways to get happy Seven ways to be reborn Guess i was a little too late Guess i was a little too late Always been a little too late Just a little too late

As I walk along the path of chosen life, my eyes grow weary and my spirit fades from time to time Although I feel the love, the shining love, glowing all around us, my head hangs heavy where I walk In my early days I gazed upon Thee, gazed upon the ever solid one, but then I turned my heart away And maybe it’s time, maybe I should embrace, embrace the bright light ahead and finally stop, just talking to myself The night seems to darken all my views, as I stumble on along the trail I begin to fear what lies ahead Am I lost inside my head? The night seems to darken all my views, as I stumble on along the trail I begin to fear what lies ahead Am I lost inside my head? Or perhaps I better sleep on it instead

Out there in the country A field with an oak tree An endless ocean A pale silver moon The night is quiet The air is vibrant No one is speaking No one at all Wish I could be there Wish I could stay Wish I could leave here Can you show me the way? To the last place, with the warm summer nights Where I know she’ll be waiting for me The last place, in the silver moon light She’ll be waiting beneath the oak tree Because my light is fading My soul is aching My eyes are closing My hands are cold Wish I could be there Wish I could stay Wish I could leave here Won’t you show me the way? To the last place, with the warm summer nights Where I know she’ll be waiting for me The last place, in the silver moon light She’ll be waiting beneath the oak tree The last place, the never ending night A field right next to the sea At the last place, in the warm summer night I know she’ll be waiting for me

Young & Old 03:14
Close your eyes again, you’re not as old as me You’ve got the time to stay in bed But my time is running out, it played a trick on me Told me I will soon be dead There’s so much more I’d like to do, but I guess I always kind of knew that I will never be the Star of the County Still there’s something I hope will come true: me reaching out to you Many things I see in you remind me of the days when I was stumbling out into the world Still I must admit - I find some of what you say percipient, like nothing I have heard I’d love to be your friend, like to know what you’ve become Get a glimpse from your point of view But every time, it seems, you’re walking away Even if I’m asking you to stay Maybe this is ’bout as good as we could ever be considering relationship between you and me Maybe I will never understand what you’re about Still, I would like to try You got to let me try

about

Debut EP from Gus By Heart, the work of Swedish singer and songwriter Gustav Svedung. Gustav is known from Gothenburg based indie bands like Oh, Harry and My Closest Friend, but has since a year and a half locked himself up in a tiny studio, sculpting his own musical universe. With new songs, a new sound and a bigger voice than ever before, there’s nothing to hold back on.
